“Sitting MLAs, Prominent Leaders in Touch with BJP,” Claims AL Hek

Senior Meghalaya BJP legislator and Cabinet Minister A.L. Hek has claimed that sitting MLAs and prominent leaders from various parties are in touch with the BJP and may soon join the party.

“If you talks about politics, politics have a complex issue, is not one factor or one reasons, so many factors, so many reasons, it is a complex. To strengthen the party we need good statesman, we need good leaders to strengthen the party,” he said.

Emphasising the need for expansion, the BJP legislator stated, “The party cannot grow only with few leaders we should have so many good leader, who is working with a party, then other people also will come and join a party, that way only the party can grow.”

Hek asserted that the BJP is working consistently across Meghalaya.

“So BJP is not sitting idle, they are doing their duty, they are doing the responsible and only party in the state of Meghalaya who are working 24/7 and daily the office is working,” he said.

Referring to the BJP’s growth at the national level, the senior BJP MLA added, “If you see the history way back from the victory of BJP 1984 if I’m not mistaken, they were having only 2 MPS, from 2 MPs BJP is not only ruling in the centre even in so many states, it grows by the time, so what it started with two MP now they have been crossed 300 also.”

He said the party’s rise in Meghalaya will follow the same path. “Now it is the biggest party in the country, it started with small humble beginning, so here also with two MLAs, tomorrow we will see five MLAs, 10 MLA, one day will be absolutely majority also.”

“They will join, now many also they express that they will join, we are in touch with many, both sitting MLA, ex MLA, prominent leaders, we are discussing with them also,” Hek said.

Commenting on the changing political landscape, he added, “See if you are talking about the rose of NPP, VPP like that, see politics is like seasonal, sometime you will see some season is very heavy rain, some season no rain at all, so politics is also like that, it cannot be predicted from the beginning.”
