In the early hours of Independence Day, at around 3:30 am, unidentified miscreants riding three motorcycles hurled a petrol bomb at a Bolero Vehicle at Pasteur BH in Shillong, sparking a brief blaze. Quick action ensured the fire was extinguished before it could cause significant damage, leaving only scorch marks on the door of the vehicle. The incident, which occurred under the cover of darkness.
Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills District, Vivek Syiem said, “Petrol bomb was lobbed at Pasteur BH at about 3.30 am by miscreants who came in 3 bikes. The fire was put off immediately with little damage on door.” He further confirmed that the targeted vehicle MLA 05 L 3840 belongs to the police.
