DGP Probe Clears Police Recruitment Exam of Malpractices, Results Expected Soon: Tynsong

An internal inquiry led by the Director General of Police (DGP) has found no evidence of malpractices at any examination center across Meghalaya during the recently held police recruitment exams, according to Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home (Police) Prestone Tynsong.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Tynsong informed that the evaluation process is nearing completion and the results will be announced shortly. “Hopefully, very soon we will be able to declare the results of those exams which were already held,” he said.

Approximately 36,000 to 37,000 candidates appeared for the recruitment examination, and while initial complaints had surfaced, the matter was swiftly investigated. “Yes, initially some complaints reached to my table also and I had asked DGP to find out the facts if there is any kind of unfair means done in the examination centres and ultimately we got all the details and we found out that there was no such unfair means done in the examination centres throughout the state,” Tynsong asserted.
