The investigation into the murder of Indore tourist Raja Raghuvanshi is poised to enter a crucial phase, with the crime scene recreation slated for Tuesday at 12 noon in Sohra. Confirming the development, Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Vivek Syiem stated, “Tomorrow crime scene reconstruction in Sohra at 12 noon.”
In a related development, the accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi, was taken to the Meghalaya Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences (MIMHANS) on Monday for a psychiatric evaluation. Police officials clarified that the assessment was conducted to determine her mental state and was based on medical advice.
“It’s a routine check-up… Referred by Medical Officer Ganesh Das as a routine psychiatric checkup,” the SP said.
