Meghalaya to Replicate Telangana’s Integrated Command and Control Model: CM Conrad Sangma

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday said the State Government would seek to replicate key features of the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (IC&CC) in Meghalaya, describing the facility as one of the finest examples in the country of technology-driven governance and coordinated public service delivery.

During a visit to the IC&CC in Hyderabad, Sangma said the Centre had demonstrated how technology, data integration and inter-departmental coordination could significantly enhance governance outcomes and improve responsiveness in delivering public services to citizens.

Impressed by the scale of operations and the seamless coordination among departments, the Chief Minister said the facility offered valuable lessons for States seeking to modernise governance systems through technology-enabled solutions.

The Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre, regarded as one of the country’s leading such facilities, brings together multiple government departments on a single platform to monitor, coordinate and respond to a wide range of public service and administrative requirements in real time.

Addressing the media during the visit, Sangma said, “So, we are here in the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Center and without any doubt, this is most probably one of the best integrated command and control centers in the country. Because it’s not just the technology that they are using out here, but it is the system that they have developed to really coordinate and really ensure that the aspect of governance is improved and made better by ensuring technologies, used departments coordinate, and the overall services that they want to provide to the people become better.”

Highlighting Meghalaya’s efforts to strengthen governance through digital interventions, he said the State would study the best practices adopted by Telangana and explore their adaptation to local requirements.

“So it’s a great example, which, I think many states should learn, and therefore I have come personally myself to see the work going on here, and I can assure you that we will try to replicate as much as possible from what we’ve seen here in the Telangana integrated command and control center and try to replicate it back in our state of Meghalaya,” Sangma added.
