Shillong, June 23: In a significant breakthrough in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, the East Khasi Hills District police have secured a seven-day transit remand for two suspects arrested from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem confirmed the development. “Transit remand for 7 days has been granted. They will be produced in Shillong within the 7 days,” Syiem told Meghalaya News 24.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Silome James, a property dealer, and Balbir Ahirbar, a security guard-cum-carpenter from Ashok Nagar district. The arrests come as part of the ongoing investigation led by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the high-profile murder of the Shillong-based businessman.
