In the high-profile murder case of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Sohra Sub-Division, has fixed September 17 for hearing the bail application of Sonam, the prime accused.
The plea, filed through legal aid, contests the prosecution’s case by pointing to alleged defects in the 790-page charge sheet filed by East Khasi Hills Police, which the defense claims is incomplete.
Only last week, police formally named Sonam, her alleged partner Raj Kushwaha, and three contract killers — Vishal Singh Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi — as accused in the conspiracy to murder Raghuvanshi.
