The Meghalaya government has given the green light to a cinematic tribute on the life and times of U Tirot Sing Syiem, one of the state’s most revered freedom fighters. Minister Incharge of Art and Culture, Paul Lyngdoh, said, “Warriors and those who fought vehemently for the cause of our freedom, the Department of Arts and Culture has given a go ahead for a movie on the Life and Times of U Tirot Sing Syiem and we have entrusted renowned film maker Pradip Kurbah with preparing the script other details related to this project.”
Highlighting the significance of the project, Lyngdoh added that Pradip Kurbah has been tasked with scripting the movie and overseeing all creative details, ensuring the story of Meghalaya’s legendary hero reaches audiences in a compelling and authentic way.
