Conrad Sangma Reviews Key Projects in Umiam Basin, Lauds Tangible Progress

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday reviewed the ongoing implementation of multiple flagship projects spearheaded by the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Society in the Umiam Basin Region, with a sharp focus on health, education, economy, irrigation, and agriculture.

Expressing satisfaction over the developments, the Chief Minister said he was “encouraged to see tangible progress, including the construction of school buildings, hostels, artificial turfs, community centers as well as the promotion of sustainable livelihoods through agriculture-based initiatives.”

He also acknowledged the impact of the SPV Society’s efforts, calling it a “commendable effort in supporting community development and improving quality of life in the region.”
