Emphasising the strengthening of Women Help Desks in 70 police stations and the setting up of Anti-Human Trafficking Units in all districts, Vijaya Rahatkar, Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), today chaired a high-level review meeting with senior Meghalaya Police officers to assess the state’s fight against crimes on women.
The meeting also reviewed measures to boost cybercrime assistance through NCCRP integration and reinforce gender sensitization and legal support frameworks.
“We are dedicated to working together to ensure a safer Meghalaya for all women,” Rahatkar asserted.
