The National People’s Party (NPP) Meghalaya State Unit has announced the second list of candidates for the ensuing election to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), scheduled to be held on April 10, 2026, naming Stevie M. Marak among the party’s nominees.
The list, approved by the State Election Committee, was signed by the State Unit President, Prestone Tynsong.
According to the announcement, Stevie M. Marak has been fielded from the 11–Boldamgre constituency. The party has also named Jangseng R. Marak from 03–Silkigre, Walbinath Ch. Marak from 04–Rongrikimgre, Sengko D. Sangma from 20–Raksamgre, and Dormonat Ch. Sangma from 21–Naguapara.
The GHADC elections will be held on April 10 to elect members to the autonomous council responsible for governance and administration in the Garo Hills region. Political parties have begun finalising their candidates as preparations for the polls gather momentum.
