
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday convened the second High Level Task Force on Tourism in the North East Region, a significant gathering aimed at accelerating the integrated development of tourism across this vibrant and diverse part of India. The meeting was attended by the Union Minister for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, along with other distinguished members of the task force. During the meeting, Chief Minister Sangma stated, “Today we discussed the roadmap ahead and our plan of action for integrated tourism development of the region.” The session underscored a shared commitment among state and central government representatives to harness the North East’s unique cultural heritage, natural beauty, and tourism potential through coordinated efforts.
