The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has appointed Prof. Lakhon Kma of the Department of Biochemistry as the Registrar (In-charge), replacing earlier administrative orders issued this year, in a move aimed at ensuring continuity in the university’s administration.
According to an official order issued by the Vice-Chancellor, the appointment supersedes Order No. VCcampoffice-54 dated February 19, 2026, and Order No. VCcampoffice-101 dated July 13, 2026. Prof. Kma will continue to discharge his regular responsibilities in the Department of Biochemistry while additionally performing the duties of Registrar (In-charge).
The order states that the arrangement takes effect from August 3, 2026, and will remain in force until further orders.
